Challenge

Maintaining humidity in a building with an indoor swimming pool is not a conditioning project that many firms want to handle.

AEC worked with Desert Aire to put a SelectAire™ SA60 dehumidification unit on the roof to maintain 60% RH and 84°F air temperature.

Great project for Air Equipment Company and Desert Aire. We partnered with CMTA, Inc. on the design and KCC Group on the installation. The Yarmuth Family Aquatic Center is a state of the art education, fitness and indoor aquatics building with a 8,000 sq ft zero entry pool with a water slide, Jacuzzi/whirlpool and a 6-lane, 25-yard, 3-5 foot deep lap pool in the 13,000 sq ft.

The new 107,000-square-foot facility’s amenities include an indoor family aquatics center, a fitness center, an early learning center with a courtyard, and a multipurpose auditorium space for theater and arts.
